Channeling My Inner Cowgirl

I woke up this morning channeling my inner cowgirl.  The romance of it all.  The hard work.  The dreams.  The dirt.  The dust.  The horses.  The nature.  (The cowboys.)

From my little corner of Luxembourg, the mystique of the cowgirl draws me in across the continents, twirls me around, envelopes me, propels me.  For a moment, I am that woman riding out on the range, sun on my shoulders, boots on my feet, dog at my heels, hat on my head, saddle and strong horse beneath me.  There's a raw, rugged beauty to this life that I can't resist.

I'm living the cowgirl life today...  and here are ten great reasons that you should dream with me:

There's something about that cowgirl style...

...those amazing views...

...the horses (always the horses)...

...the cowgirl weddings (absolutely couldn't resist, long married though I am)...

It's a cowgirl's life, for sure.  And I know that this is only my romantic view of a life filled with scenic adventure.  A cowgirl's life is a hard life, certainly filled with the same ups and downs that the rest of us experience, graced with the same moments of love, loss, choice and challenge that fill the rest of our lives, and yet somehow still a life that can inspire us to pack our bags, chuck our jobs, grab our loved ones, climb on a horse and head out West.

To all those hard working women lucky to be living the life of a modern cowgirl, you go girls!  You inspire us, and you keep us dreaming.  And life is nothing without dreams!
